Who is Stirling?
Stirling was born and raised in Calgary. He spent his entire childhood living in the community of West Hillhurst. This is a big part of what led to Stirling's affinity for the inner-city market. Before Stirling ever got into real estate though, Stirling was a performer. As a joke, Stirling and his friends took a dance class as an easy course with no homework, but it evolved into much more than that. Stirling fell in love with dance, and this took him on a whirlwind journey to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet school, learning from the best teachers in the country. He has performed in theatrical productions in Vancouver, Regina, Charlottetown, and, of course, Calgary. He has also acted in numerous film and television projects. Stirling is also a wonderful father with a loving family, and he enjoys coaching and volunteering with his children’s various sports and activities. In his free time, Stirling enjoys listening to music of all kinds, playing hockey and board games, getting a good round of golf in, and traveling the world with his family. He loves to explore and learn about other cultures, and getting to see architecture and homes in other parts of the world, which gives him a fresh perspective on housing possibilities for Calgary.

What does Stirling do?

Over his 20+ years of experience, Stirling has helped people of all walks of life with their real estate questions and decisions. Here are just some examples:
First Time Buyers: One of his favourite ways to assist people is taking their first step into the real estate market. It can be the scariest decision people often make, whether or not they’re ready to make that leap into home ownership, but Stirling has provided his expertise to many people in that situation, so rest assured you’ll be getting the best advice for your first step.
Moving Up: He also loves to help families as they look for spaces that make more sense for them. Part of the decision is usually finding a bigger space, but it’s so much more than that. It’s looking for the best schools and living in close proximity to them, it’s finding quiet neighbourhoods that are safe for kids to walk around in, it’s being close to coffee shops and grocery stores for those early morning practices and quick stops to pick up groceries for dinner on the way home from school. It’s picking a home that you and your kids will grow into, and Stirling has helped so many families find the best options - at the best price too.
Downsizing: He also does the opposite - finding people homes once the kids have all moved out or gone to college. Not everyone needs a big house once the kids have left the nest; now it’s a decision about what works best for you! Do you want to live in a walkable neighbourhood, close to shops and restaurants? Do you want to live in an apartment or condo building with amenities, or an older-residence building to be around people your own age? Does moving out to the mountains appeal to you, or being somewhere quiet and peaceful within the city?
Most of the time, real estate can be a lot of fun, and an opportunity to develop lifelong friendships. Sometimes, real estate can be a very difficult situation, and people are forced to buy or sell, due to financial difficulties, divorce, or death. Stirling has been asked to guide many people and families to work through these difficult times and it is an honour to be able to help.
No matter where in your life you find yourself, when it’s time for you to make your next real estate decision, Stirling will help make it work for you.
